2. Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMB)

The abbreviation IJMB stands for Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination.

IJMB is a qualifying test for Nigerian and foreign universities. The IJMB test is largely for Advanced Level disciplines that need Direct Entry into 200-level universities.

It makes sense because the IJMB or JUPEB program is for a year-long academic session. So you may apply for the program knowing that you will not be beginning in your first year of university.

• Less competition: A-level admittance is less competitive than the JAMB UTME. Every year, millions of Nigerian students use JAMB to apply for university admission. However, just a few pupils engage in A-level courses. This is not to argue that admittance via this path is simple, but it does improve your prospects.

• Acceptability of A-Level Results: Most federal, state, and private universities in Nigeria, including IJMB and JUPEB, accept A-Level results.
